Handwriting Boost helps adults demonstrate letter formation and prepare handwriting practice. Choose a school style, add your own words, watch the strokes form, then present, print or share an activity. Children can take the learning to pencil and paper.

Choose a free teacher workspace for your own classroom or a free home workspace for family practice. Contact us to arrange a shared school workspace. If you have been invited to an existing school workspace, use that invitation instead of setting up another one.

The onboarding journey includes an editable handwriting preview before the account step. You can try a word, a school style and practice support. A preview is a starting point; it does not automatically save or publish an activity. Account availability is shown in the app.

No. The screen shows how the letters form. Use printable activities for tracing, copying and independent writing with pencil and paper. A shared practice page also lets learners watch the model again.

Yes. Individual teachers can use Handwriting Boost free with their classes, including modelling, saved activities, printing and sharing practice. No subscription or payment method is required. A shared workspace across your school is arranged separately through a school enquiry.

Yes. Home workspaces are free, with no subscription or payment method required. You can create, save and print activities for family practice.

Free access is self-service. Use the getting started guide, practical resources and searchable help centre. You can report a problem by email; personal training, setup calls and guaranteed response times are not included.

Use Report a problem on the contact page. Include the page name, your browser, the steps you took, what you expected and what happened. Avoid learner names, passwords and private practice links. Reports help us investigate issues, but individual replies and response times are not guaranteed.

Use the school enquiry on the contact page to share your school size, requirements and support needs. We review enquiries by email and agree workspace access, setup, support and any fees before proceeding. An enquiry does not book a call or commit your school to anything.

Ask your school for the handwriting style and stage it teaches. The app includes Australian regional styles, with beginner and joined options. State or territory is a useful starting point, but the school’s current model is the best reference. See our school-style guide for a simple checklist.

Yes. Create an activity using your own words or short sentences. Check spelling and capitalisation, then choose the style, line size and practice support before saving. The app supports English A–Z and selected punctuation; accented names, numbers and other scripts are not currently supported.

Tracing provides a letter guide to follow. Copying gives the learner a model to look at and reproduce. Independent practice leaves more of the writing to the learner. Choose the amount of support that suits the activity and adjust it as needed.

A changed default applies to new activities. Existing saved activities keep their own settings. Open an existing activity to change its style deliberately, and preview it before printing or sharing again.

Save your activity with a recognisable title. Use folders, search and favourites to organise the activities you return to. You can duplicate a saved activity when you want to change the words while keeping the original.

Open the activity’s print view, check its line size and practice level, then open the browser print dialog. Choose your browser’s Save as PDF option when available. Review the page preview before saving or printing.

Check that the paper size is A4 and the orientation matches the activity preview. Review your browser’s scale and margin settings, and turn off browser headers and footers if they appear on the page. Print one test page before a class set.

Open a saved activity and choose Share practice. Review the words, style and instructions, then create the practice link. Copy the link for your usual family communication channel, or include the practice QR and link when printing shared practice. Creating a link does not send a message for you.

A published practice link opens the shared lesson without an adult login. Anyone with that link can open it, so use words and instructions appropriate for the people you share it with. A family may still use its own home workspace to create separate activities.

Shared practice is a published copy. Saving changes to your private activity does not automatically change the shared lesson. Open Share practice, check the new content and choose Update shared practice when you are ready.

A link may have expired, been stopped or replaced, or its source activity may have been removed. Ask the adult who shared it for the current link. Replacing a link means an older printed QR code will no longer open that lesson.
