Send home one clear focus.
Choose a letter, a name or a short set of words already introduced in class. Families need to know what to notice, so add one plain-language instruction instead of a long list of corrections.
The goal is a manageable continuation of the classroom activity. The same letter model helps an adult at home show what the teacher has demonstrated.
Review before you publish.
Save the activity and open Share practice. Check the words, handwriting style and any instructions, then create the practice link.
The shared lesson is a published copy. Later edits to the original activity do not change it automatically; use Update shared practice when you want to publish your changes.
Give families a link and a paper option.
Copy the practice link into your school’s usual family communication channel. The link lets families revisit the animated model without an adult login.
For paper practice, use the shared lesson’s print option. Include its QR code and readable link if you want the worksheet to lead back to the same demonstration. Choose a publication period that suits when families will use it.
Keep the return to class simple.
Ask learners to show or talk about the movement they practised. Use their attempts to decide what to model next; a replay or practice confirmation is not an assessment of handwriting quality.
Keep a useful activity for another day. If you replace or stop a link, let families know: an old printed QR code may no longer open the lesson.
